Congratulations! It's very exciting. As a once and future self-publisher myself, I'm anxious to hear how all of this turns out.

And I'm with Derek on doing an audio version. That could be totally cool and open up your stuff to a whole other audience.

    This is exciting, Brandice!

Giddy up on a job well-done! I'm glad more and more authors are choosing to self-publish; it proves "the little guy" has a chance too.

This will probably sound lazy on my part, but do you have any plans for an audiobook version?

    Congratuations, again! :)

    Thanks!

You know, I hadn't really considered an audio version... will look into this. Thanks for planting the bug in my ear! :) If you have awesome tips on doing that, lemme know. The book itself is 48 pages long, so it's not an epic and it's less than 30 poems, but still... having an audio version would add a little something extra. :)

I'm sure you know about the Scott Siglers and Evo Terras of the world. The podiobooked their novels, built fan bases, and then published the physical book.

Seeing as yours is short, I reckon you could release about fifty 2-3 minute episodes for a year (one a week?). Or you could release them daily for a few months.

Free publicity for the book. Well, your time isn't free, but you know what I mean.

You could also put the audio version on Audible; people could listen to the free weekly(?) episodes on the site, OR download the whole thing for $5-$15 on Audible?

Gosh, you could even get relevant sponsors like Audible or Lulu to sponsor the audio content.

    I'll e-mail ya more. :)
